Bill Quirk endorsed 2018-01-15 12:22:46 -0800The Friends of the Library and the Hayward Library Commission was my entrance into understanding the City of Hayward government and budget. As a member of both groups, I found out that the Library was the City Institution that served more people than any other. The Friends and .the Commission helped educate the City Council on the importance of the Library to the people of Hayward. The Friends also supplied the Library with important resources like computers and the Teen Area at the Weekes Branch Library. The Friends and Commission were key to the campaign for a new Library. I am very proud of my years as a member and one time President of the Friends.
